Mr. Valderrama is the first Colombian soccer player to support this global initiative, The World March for Peace and Nonviolence. Launched by the Humanist Movement, the World March begins on October 2nd in New Zealand covering 160 thousand kilometers throughout the world promoting the human right of the people of the world who so much desire to live in peace.
In his video endorsement Valderrama declares: “I join the World March for Peace and Nonviolence asking for the end of wars, complete and total nuclear disarmament and the elimination of all forms of violence.”
Valderrama highlights the objective of the project, to create consciousness about the need for nonviolence. With his encouraging words, he affirms, “Things can change with the support of each one of us, we want to create global consciousness against all forms of violence: physical, psychological, racial, religious, economic, and sexual.”
The World March will pass through Colombia on December 18, with a formidable public event. Colombian musician Juanes also confirmed he will be in the event in Colombia as well as Chile, where the World March will pass through on the 28th of December before culminating in the Punta de Vacas Park of Study and Reflection, located in the Andean city of Mendoza, Argentina.
