The event will be another action of the World March and will take place in Buenos Aires, Berazategui, Lomas de Zamora, Villa Bosch and Bernal, during another anniversary of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima.
Among the promoters of the activity are social organisations, schools, cultural groups and neighbours who are joining the call for peace. Everyone is invited to make paper cranes.
The initiative is in memory of Sadako Sasaki, a young girl from Hiroshima who became fatally sick from the radiation and decided to fulfil an old tradition. According to this tradition, if someone wanted a wish to come true they must make a 1000 origami cranes in order for the gods to grant it.
Sadako asked for herself and for world peace. So, when she was not able to reach her target, her action was continued by her friends and then repeated every year by people around the world.
