Commemoration of the 6th of August in various cities of Argentina

Buenos Aires
Memorial event on a central corner of the city with a large number of pedestrians.  A vivid theatrical production was performed alluding to Hiroshima in which endorsers and the national spokesperson participated to explain the meaning of the event.

Advertising spots were broadcast prior to promote the event.

Córdoba
Memorial day with participation of endorsing personalities and organisations which contributed a good part of the decorations: foam rubber dolls donated by an artist, giant crane (bird) where people could write messages of peace and 1000 cranes donated by the Humanist group Concavos y Convexos.

Symbolic walk through the pedestrian streets with a group of saxophonists from the city Music Academy, with very good press coverage.

Mendoza
The event that took place in Independence Square with the participation of a band and various endorsing organisations ended with a joint ceremony with a request for peace.

In Tierra del Sur college, besides the presentations of the cranes folded by students and parents, a Ginko Biloba tree was planted, one of the few trees that remained standing when the Hiroshima bomb exploded, and since considered as a bringer of hope.

At the monument to the flag, a symbolic reference in the city, the WM was present in an event organised by the CHICOS association.
