Important endorsements from the world of culture continue to reach the World March for Peace and Nonviolence. To the singers Lou Reed, Juanes, Yoko Ono and Noa from Israel among others, can be added multiple award winning film director, Pedro Almodovar and oscar-winning actress, Penelope Cruz.
From the USA the World March organisers have received the endorsement from the Chilean author Isabel Allende. The writer, born in Lima, Peru when her father was there as the Chilean Ambassador, is niece to former President Salvador Allende.
She is considered one of the most important novelists and dramatists of Latin America. Among her most well-known books are "The House of the Spirits" (1982), "Eva Luna" (1987), "My Invented Country" (2003) and "Sum of days" (2007). |
