Oumar Mariko est né en 1959. Son engagement remonte à l’époque où il était étudiant, au sein de l’”Union des élèves étudiants du Mali”. Ensuite il a été secrétaire général de l’”Association des élèves étudiants du Mali” et pour le compte de ce association il a participe au ”Comité de transition pour le salut du peuple” après les manifestations contre le régime de Moussa Traoré en 1991. Il est depuis 1995 directeur général du réseau de radios privées Kayira. En 1996 il fonde le parti politique Solidarité Africaine pour la Démocratie et l'Indépendance (SADI). Cheick Oumar Sissoko est un cinéaste et homme politique malien, né en 1945. Étudiant à Paris, obtient un DEA d’histoire et sociologie africaine et un diplôme de l'”École des hautes études en sciences sociales”, en histoire et cinéma. Il suit ensuite des cours de cinéma à l’”École nationale Louis Lumière”. De retour au Mali, il est engagé comme réalisateur au ”Centre national de la production cinématographique” (CNPC).
