Whereas, the issue of nonviolence represents the deepest hopes of all people and remains humanity's guiding inspiration. We all share a belief that if communities respect one another and unite in peace, we can eliminate the violence that has taken hold of our neighborhoods; and
Whereas, the City of Tarpon Springs encourages all schools, organizations, places of worship and individuals acrosss our city wo work actively for nonviolence in our community and throughout the world.
Now Therefore, I, Beverly Billiris, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the City of Tarpon Springs do hereby proclaim the City of Tarpon Springs' endorsement of the World March for Peace and Nonviolence.
