East and Southern Africa Route

In the context of the World March for Peace and Nonviolence that currently goes in more than 100 countries around the world, a team of Mozambicans will do the route that will represent the Eastern-Southern Africa in this unprecedented global initiative in human history. The African route will start in Kenya (Nairobi) via Zambia (Lusaka), Mozambique (Tete, Chimoio, Beira, Xai-Xai, Inhambane and Maputo) and South Africa (Johannesburg and Cape Town).

In the context of the World March for Peace and Nonviolence that currently goes in more than 100 countries around the world, a team of Mozambicans will do the route that will represent the Eastern-Southern Africa in this unprecedented global initiative in human history. The African route will start in Kenya (Nairobi) via Zambia (Lusaka), Mozambique (Tete, Chimoio, Beira, Xai-Xai, Inhambane and Maputo) and South Africa (Johannesburg and Cape Town).


For each city, events will be organized for the reception of marchers, meetings with government officials to deliver a "Charter for a World without Violence" written by Nobel Peace Prize. The World March was declared Ambassador of the Nobel Prize in
its 11th Summit held in Berlin on 11 November 2009.


The African Base Team, consisting of 4 Mozambican flying to Nairobi on 27.November (Friday) to for two weeks, to spread the ideas of a World Without Violence, referring to the dangerous situation in Africa marked by the arms race and the widespread violence in all its forms, poiting the urgent need to plant in Africa a culture of peace through the methodology of non-violence.
